Confessions of Faith

Welcome to ConfessionsOfFaith.org. This site is a repository of the historical confessions of the Reformed Protestant Christian Faith. The majority of confessional perspectives either are or were derived from a Reformed theological perspective. These documents provided the basis for organizing modern understanding of the Holy Scriptures.

The purpose of this site is purely educational. The mission of the Church is to equip the Saints. This site is simply provides the foundational documents from which to study the Holy Scriptures. The Church fathers intended the confessions provide an organized, succinct framework for interpreting Scripture. The confessions do not carry the authority of Scripture, but rather help us understand and interpret it.

The confessions are temporal, unlike God’s Word which is eternal. With that in mind, the confessions are best looked at as how the Church fathers understood the Scriptures at a particular point in time. When used as a guide, the confessions are a powerful study tool that can deepen our understanding of God, our relationship with Him, and our ability to glorify Him.
